We’re excited to
let you know that you will soon be receiving a new laptop to replace your
iPad. Texas Tech Athletics recently purchased an allotment of Dell laptops
to replace the current, dated iPad fleet. Take a minute to read this
email that will help answer any questions you may have and provide details on
when you’ll be ready to upgrade!
What is it?
Dell Latitude 7320
Detachable w/ keyboard and Dell Active Pen.
What’s cool about
it?
- Can be used as a tablet or a laptop!
- Can run any apps that a computer can
run for your course work or sport needs.
- Can connect USB hard drives, thumb
drives and other USB peripherals that you need.
- Roughly the same size and weight as
your current iPad.
When can I get it?
Your Academic
Advisor of Sport will notify you when the time and date is set to receive your
laptop. Note that to receive your laptop, you must be present with your
current issued iPad so you can trade it in. We will not be able to
issue laptops if we cannot check in your iPad.
What should I do to
be ready to make the switch?
- Backup any files you have saved
directly on your iPad to OneDrive.
- If you use Notability, please backup
your notes to OneDrive. Notability will not be available on the
laptops but can be restored to Microsoft OneNote.

- If you have photos or videos on the
iPad and do not have them synced to your iCloud (and/or available on your
phone), please back them up to OneDrive.

- Backup your iPad to iCloud. If
you do not have enough storage available, you may skip this step.
- Sign out of iCloud on your iPad.
